IMS - Rube Goldberg or Heath Robinson?

How should IMS best be applied? A key question and one which super practitioner Adam Uzelac at one of our favourite companies (Global Crossing) ponders in a recent post.

Many seem to be approaching it like 'Rube Goldberg', he says. In England we refer to madly over-engineered inventions as 'Heath Robinson-like':
